Abstract

The study aims to identify the impact of society-culture on human resource functions (Selection and
Compensation). Human resource functions are crucial and strategic resource for any organization. This
study based on quantitative method using questionnaire, which were distributed among 300 employees of
Jordan Telecommunications Group (Orange). The study results indicated that there is a high degree of
competence in human resources function in Cellular communications companies in Jordan. The results
indicate that there is a high value of culture among the workers in Cellular communications companies in
Jordan. Moreover, this study also proves that there is statistically significant relationship between society
culture and human resources function in cellular communications companies in Jordan. On the basis of
results, the study recommends the need to activate mechanisms of supervision based on direct and indirect
selection and compensation in the company
