Technology and E-Learning in Higher Education

Abstract

With the increasing modernization and digitalization of all areas of our lives, completely new possibilities
for teaching and learning are opening to cater to the needs of present day education. Many teachers in
schools, colleges or universities are already relying on different technological advancements and
changing their pedagogical practices, teaching methods and applying the concept of Open Educational
Resources (OER) and the Flipped Classroom (FC), blended learning & MOOCs. E-learning is now a day
the most important tool of learning & becoming core part of the today’s education system and open new
avenues to the higher education. In this paper, the authors discussed the various e-learning technologies
of teaching and learning in higher education.
