Abstract

The purpose of the research was to analyze the neurochemical sensitivity of the neurons of the lateral hypothalamus to Semax (a synthetic analogue of АCTH4-10) and CRH in rats with different behavioral parameters - high-active (resistant to stressors) and underactive (susceptible to stressors) rats.
The research was conducted using neurobiological methods: analysis of rats’ emotional behavior, registration of neuron impulse activity, microiontophoretic supply of neuroactive substances.
It was shown that the neurons of the lateral hypothalamus structures in highly active and underactive rats have different sensitivity to CRH and АСТН4-10 (Semax).
Based on the research results and published data on the cascade mechanism of action of peptides in the central nervous system, it can be argued that CRH and АCTH4-10 (Semax) are specifically involved in the realization of the mechanisms that ensure different resistance of animals to stress effects. That is possibly related to their interaction with the catecholamine mechanisms of the brain.
