A New Hybrid Method of MPPT with ANN and Three Point-Weight Methods for Photovoltaic Systems

Abstract

Abstract: In this paper, a new hybrid method of maximum power point tracking (MPPT) with artificial neural network (ANN) method and three-point weight methods for photovoltaic systems. First, the direction of change in the power or no- change in the powers compared to the state before is determined based on three point – weight-based method. The change in power is done based on ANN. Three point-weight based, ANN and hybrid algorithms are simulated in MATLAB software for comparison of their performance for photovoltaic system with MPPT Buck/ Boost DC-DC converter.
