Abstract

The utilization of hybrid dispersed power generators based on renewable energy sources has received considerable attention in recent years. The penetration of dispersed power generators based on Photovoltaic (PV) and wind to the grid has been topic of extensive research. Further, it becomes imperative that grid integrated power converters applied in renewable energy based Distributed generation (DG) systems needs careful controller design in order to achieve good performance than the conventional power plants they replace. The power electronics interface create the power quality disturbances in the power networks due to nonlinear currents., this is turn affects the effective rated capacity of the electrical equipment's, heating of electrical apparatus and energy losses etc…, further the customer demands are highly variable and nonlinear in nature and DG sources are stochastic in nature.
