Abstract

Acceptance sampling tools create a bridge between 0% and 100% inspections. For inspection of the products only a small amount from the products, a sample of size ‘n’ is selected from large amount of products, which is also called a lot. The information obtained from the sample size decide whether to accept or reject the entire lot.In industry, to inspect items due to its easiness for implementation the basic acceptance sampling plan called Single Sampling Plan is used. Hence, producer and consumer generally prefer a plan which provides them protection and save their cost of inspection to reach final decision. When costlier testing for product quality is proceded for small sample size then acceptance sampling systems are advocated. The Sampling inspection is carried for immediately preceding lots when the lots in a series are accepted without any inspection. This paper presents a new procedure for the selection of Skip lot Sampling Plan-V with Repetitive Deferred Sampling plan (RDS) as reference plan involving minimum sum of risks.
