Abstract

Wireless sensor network (WSN) [1] is an Ad-hoc network which deals with a large no of different sensor node that are distributed over a large area in order to sense the physical conditions like humidity ,pressure ,temperature etc [2]. Since majority of sensor nodes are placed in adverse environment due to this they are vulnerable to many attacks which are caused by malicious node in the network. Blackhole  attack , sybil attack, jamming attack , DoS attack are the most common example of security attacks over wireless network [3]. The black hole attack is one in which malicious node capture all the data and without having any active route it falsely replies for any route request thus prevent the source node to communicate with the destination node. In this paper we will see the performance of AODV protocol in static and mobile scenario. A comparative analysis is also made to check overall impact of blackhole node in the network.
