High Speed Digital IIR Filter using Min-Period Retiming
Abstract
The retiming is the most powerful optimization technique in a single dimension problem. An efficient Infinite Impulse Response (IIR) filter is designed using retiming technique that can increase the speed and reduces the area of the circuit. The paper presents the optimized method of retiming explored with respect of clock speed and memory elements. The paper introduces the retiming algorithms on the structure of the digital filters which boost the performance. A transformation environment is set up in such a way that architecture components depends entirely on the Very Large Scale Integration model indicators which helps to reduce the runtime.
