Impact of employee stress on job satisfaction: An empirical study

Abstract

This paper identifies the varied sources of stress and its repercussions at subsequent levels on the faculty members of the selected colleges.  It also inspects the relationship between stress levels and employee satisfaction.  An analysis of nearly 415 academic staff from varied colleges in Bangalore.The faculty members were interviewed based on the source of stress not only in their professional lives but also in their personal lives.  During stressful situations staff or employee employed coping strategies list. In order to measure the rate of employee satisfaction questions were devised based on five-point Likert scale.  The results were tabulated.Faculty members had adverse effects on the employee satisfaction owing to higher stress levels.
