Abstract

Heterogeneous networks are becoming the essential network for the future generation wireless communication system to meet up the high demand of users. However, the severe inter cell interference on the edge generated by densely deployed small cell in network poses a serious issue for the edge users. The fair share of resources on the edge of the cell can help to enhance the efficiency of cell edge area. For better throughput for the cell edge users, we generate and applied enhanced proportional fair resource allocation techniques with carrier aggregation to allocate the efficient resources in the cell. This work is the enhancement of our previous work [1]. Our simulation results show enhanced gain in the results. We evaluate the results in edge throughputs, peak throughputs, average throughputs, fairness index, average cell throughputs and spectral efficiency.
