A Robust Algorithm to detect and classify circular objects for industrial applications

Abstract

Detection of any object is breaking with in many type of industries including production and automobile industries.Detection of a circular object quickly and accurately is the challenging task. The voting based method is the traditional method for circular object detection.  The voting based methods have high memory requirements and more computational complexity while these are less sensitive to noise. This paper proposes modified Hough transform based algorithm for detection of circular objects within other shaped objects also it can identify circular objects on basis of diameter. The computational time and the memory consumption was very less and the algorithm worked quite efficiently.
