Abstract

Paper Plastic has become a rapidly growing problem in the daily life of a human being in these modern days. Plastic’s main disadvantage is its biodegradability. The degradation of plastic takes place for some thousands of years. This degradation problem caused arises of disposal problems which has been increasing the pollution of land resources and water resources. So many reforms have come up with different ideologies to decrease disposal problems.

Due to large constructions the constructional material are getting depleted so there is a need of alternate materials for construction. Plastic is one of the materials abundantly growing due to its wide range of applications. Interlocking plastic blocks may be one of the ways to decrease the problem of plastic waste by reforming into constructional blocks. The raw materials of plastic pavers are plastic and robo sand. Plastic used for this project was High Density Poly Ethylene, Poly Propylene, Low Density Poly Ethylene & poly Vinyl Chloride. Collected plastic was dried and the plastic placed in the heated bowl for converting into molten state. The required amount of sand is added according to the proportion required. Further material is moulded to get attractive shapes  The main advantage of plastic blocks is that it can withstand in its position for years together. The time of construction gets reduced. Admixtures like glass fiber reinforced polymer to increase the strength of blocks.
