Abstract

These days, women's empowerment is considered as a very essential quality for the progress of our country.  For social scientists, activists and governmental thinkers, this has become a supreme prominence in our nation. For the economic consent of women in our nation, Entrepreneurship plays a major role in the present scenario. Entrepreneurship makes women economically independent and also provides many employment opportunities to others. Entrepreneurship among women in India has become predominantly increasing in recent times. Money is not the key motive for women to start their business. Each woman is willing to project and develop their own unique skills and goals, by means of starting and running self-business. These factors influence woman to become an entrepreneur apart from earning money through this business.

Hence this paper ventures the empirical evidence about the predicament of the women entrepreneurs in the Faridabad region, particularly the ones who are running micro-enterprises. The main aim of this paper is to explore the motives behind to run their business as well as the challenges they are facing in their day-to-day life while running this business
