Abstract

The prevalence of Chronic Kidney disease (CKD) is ever increasing in India and is largely not recognized. It’s a debilitating disease which is taking a huge toll on lakhs of families in India. This is highly unfortunate, because with awareness of the disease and its risk factors, timely recognition and management, it can be controlled to a significant extent. This paper explores five different machine learning algorithms which can be used for initial prophecy of kidney disease. In this study, data set of 400 patients is taken from UCI Library and divided into two subsets named trained dataset and test dataset. Further different classification techniques are applied on trained datasets and results obtained are compared with test datasets to justify the level of accuracy.
