Security Threats and Solutions in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks: A Review
Abstract
Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) are more susceptible to assaults than networks that rely on a wired backbone. Security vulnerabilities to MANETs are greater than those to centralized networks because of their dynamic topology and lack of centralized network management. While there have been efforts to identify security concerns and solutions on MANETs, a preliminary literature assessment reveals that such thorough studies are sparse or rare. This article aims to fill that void by providing a summary of the most recent research on security concerns and potential solutions in MANETs. This review article provides a thorough explanation of the problems related to security in MANETs by focusing on research conducted in the twenty-first century.
