Abstract

The experimental study was performed on 24 push off specimens subjected to vertical direct shear load along the shear plan to study the behavior characteristics of the recycled coarse aggregate reinforced concrete double L- push off specimens. The tested specimen were casted with different replacement percentage ratio of recycle coarse aggregate that were 0%, 25%, 50%, 100%. The push off specimens had different shear interface treatment condition using rough surface interface, rough with epoxy surface interface and shear dowel connectors with diameter Ø8 mm and imbedded length 15 times the dowel diameter Ø. The test result showed that using dowels to connect the two interface surface together has significant effect to improve the shear strength of recycled aggregate concrete in all recycled coarse aggregate replacement ratios.
