Abstract

The aim of the current research is to study the mechanical properties of the epoxy-  based supported by different  types of  fibers, natural (palm fibers),industrial (carbon fibers) and different weight ratio( 15 wt.%) ,(20 wt.%(forpalm fibers and (5 wt.%), (10 wt.%)For carbon fibers.Creep, tensile, impact testes was applied on the composite materials ,the results obtained have been compared between two type of supported materials. Results showed that the composite materials which are supported by carbon fibers have Young’s  modulus, maximum stress and impact resistance larger than the composite materials which are supported by palm fibers, but at the creep test it was found that there was a convergence in behavior at theweight percentages(10 wt.%) carbon fibersand (20  wt.%)palm fibers. This convergence is not found at weight percentages( 5 wt.%) carbon fibers and (15  wt.%) palm fibers.
