Abstract

In this article, an asymmetrical Multi-Level Cascaded Inverter (MLI) for the PV-System and its control strategy for a single phase grid-connected scheme is presented. The control strategy includes maximum power monitoring with an appropriate interface. A balance of the DC-link voltages is imposed by the proposed control strategy for an asymmetrical MLI under adjustable solar parameters as well as the variation of grid parameters. The voltage controllers preserve the constant DC-link voltage ratio, while the current controller injects the sinuous current into the grid at the unit power factor and uses the grid transmission system. The proposed asymmetric inverter system with grid connection is also integrated into the stability review. In the MATLAB / SIMULINK setting, the whole grid-tied PV system is simulated and the exhaustive simulation results of the scheme are presented in various transient conditions. A laboratory prototype has also been developed and implemented for a low-power grid-connected PV device using DS1103. The system's output will also be measured under different irradiation environments and the experimental results will also be presented.
