Holistic and Analytical Approach of Assam State in Terms of Cultural, and Environment Point of Views
Abstract
The word 'Assam' as deciphered by certain researchers is gotten from the Sanskrit word Asoma meaning excellent or unrivaled. However, the generally acknowledged assessment of the scholastic circles today is that the term has come from the first name of the Ahoms, who administered the land for around 600 years before its extension by the British. The races like Austric, Mongolian, Dravidian and Aryan that resulted in these present circumstances land long-some time in the past have added to its composite culture. In this way, Assam has a rich tradition of culture and human progress. Assam is the sentinel of north-east India and door toward the North-Eastern States. The State is near India's global lines with Bangladesh and Bhutan. Assam is encircled by Bhutan and Arunachal Pradesh on the north, Manipur, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh on the east and Meghalaya, Tripura and Mizoram on the south.
