New Aviation Industry Platform for Supporting Indonesia's Economic Development

Abstract

The aircraft industries are highly possibly become national development economic backbone. The needs for aircraft will be increasing significantly year by year because airlines are the most reliable transport related to distance and time. Based on passenger trends, the airlines shall be enhancing the quality of services by using the newest aircraft. However, the price of aircraft is highly price, and not every airline able to satisfy their financial balances if they are purchasing a new aircraft in cash. The Cape town Convention 2001 provide new solution for state and the aircraft industries. The beneficiary to be bound on this treaty is that every state party will get economic benefit by decreasing cost and aircraft demands will be increasing significantly and it will be improving both parties’ economics. Nevertheless, this benefit requires the involvement of financial institution aircraft industries. Indonesia is one of country with potential of Aircraft Industry. Therefore, the mechanism offered by this Convention will be improving Indonesian aircraft industries being a producing country. To address some solution this article will analyse the Indonesian opportunity to support its national aircraft industries by implementation of the Cape town Convention 2001.
