Abstract

An Aftercare Program (ACP) is a rehabilitation service that helps ex-drug abusers to recover through community-based service support and follow-up, after completing the structured treatment and rehabilitation. It is still part of the rehabilitation process within the community. The main goal of ACP is to maintain drug abusers’ recovery, prevent relapse, and achieve the purpose of life. Aftercare treatment and rehabilitation are around eighteen (18) months, and ex-drug abusers should undergo the entry phase, intensive phase, continuing phase, and the termination phase. An opportunity for employment, training, and referrals is part of the aftercare service of the rehabilitation center. Proper selection and decision are needed as they implement their aftercare service. Thus, a framework that could be utilized to support strategic decisions is indeed needed.
