ICT: An Effective Means for the Accomplishment of Electronic Government

Abstract

 In the contemporary period, E- Governance or Electronic Governance is playing a potential role with the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The implementation of ICT is the crucial part of E- Governance for the deliberation of various Governmental services, transaction of communication and exchange of information between citizen to Government, Government to Business hubs, Government to Government and Government to employee etc. This paper will give insight into the various effects and application of ICT in the field of E- Governance to bring transparency, accountability, responsiveness and ethical governance. With the use of ICT, various governmental policy can be implemented more effectively which be able to reduce various differences between the citizens and government. It is important that e- governance is one of the active means to eradicate corruption and to make the public delivery system hassle-free. The primary objective of this paper is to emphasis upon the application and implementation of ICT in the field of Electronic Governance through which a good connectivity between the citizens and government can be established.
