Abstract

This article presents a case study of the thermodynamic model ina current real consolidated cycle gas turbine (CCGT) (AURAIYA GAS POWER PLANT) with a double pressure waste heat recovery steam Boiler(WHRB).An exertion has been made to improve CCGT performance byAdding a reheat cycle and parametric study using thermodynamic analysis. The effect of surrounding temperature and working boundaries, including pressure proportion and turbine entry temperature on the absolute Performance of the CCGT, are analyzed. The code of the present model for the CCGT power plant was made by utilizing MATLAB programming. The reproduction results show that the total power output and the overall efficiency of a CCGT, decrease with the increments of the ambient temperature because of the expansion of the utilization of power noticeable in the air compressor of a gas turbine. The total power output of a CCGT decreases with the increasing pressure ratio even though the overall effectiveness of a CCGT increment with increment in pressure ratio to 21, after which the overall efficiency will decrease. The turbine inlet temperature additionally increments both the total power production and the overall effectiveness increment. It was expected that the turbine inlet temperature strongly affects the overall performance of the CCGT power plant. The simulation model offers a decent outcome compared with the AURAIYA GAS POWER PLANT.
