Abstract

This work presents the development of the Web control of a low-cost robotic arm with five degrees of freedom (5-DOF) built with acrylic material with wireless communication, using the Raspberry Pi configured as Access Point to have a Wi-Fi wireless network with RaspPi as SSID. Also, configured as DN with the domain name www.rawc.org, allowing the smartphone mobile device to connect to the wireless network. The RAWC - Robotic Arm with Web Control includes a GUI interface establishing the connection to the Web server to send start/stop events for each micro-motor, programming and integrating with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP; including the Python code. Several tests were done to handle with the robotic arm a small plastic bottle as object and increasing its mass,in order to reach the maximum lift and move capacity. In was done from 32 g to 80 g of mass, with a 90 g mass the robotic arm could not lift it, setting the maximum mass limit of 80 g.
