Distance, Similarity and Entropy Measures in Fuzzy Soft Environment

Abstract

Decision making problems in an uncertain environment has found paramount importance in current scenario. To take optimal decision distance and similarity measures play vital role. Analogously, Mathematical tools such as fuzzy sets, vague sets, soft set and their hybridizations are used to deal uncertainty and decision making. This paper discusses various distance measures based on fuzzy soft sets and introduced some similarity measures based on derived distance measures. Further fuzzy equivalence was used to formulate some new entropy measures for fuzzy soft set. Lastly, practical application of these measures is described in decision making.
