Distributed Generation Optimal Allocation Using Two Point Crossover Technique Based Genetic Algorithm
Abstract
One among the basic operators of Genetic algorithm is crossover. The merits of several crossover techniques of Genetic algorithm have been proposed and investigated. This paper discusses the single point and two point crossover techniques in Genetic Algorithm applications. These techniques are tested for the optimization problem of the Distribution Generation. The variables of the optimization problem include the location and size of the Distributed Generation. The optimal location and sizing of distributed generation using multipoint crossover techniques based genetic algorithm is implemented on 33 and 69 node distribution system.
