Abstract

The rapid growth of technology has increased the demand for electricity. Therefore, in order to overcome the growing demand for electricity, a solar energy system is emerging. But the power received from photovoltaic (PV) is very small. Therefore, to meet the needs of high voltage applications, many traditional DC to DC converters are created. In this proposed work, a high voltage gain Luo converter is used to enhance the voltage level of the photovoltaic system. The converter output is connected to the voltage source inverters (VSI) and converted to alternating current. Thus, in this proposed methodology, VSI operations are controlled using two methods, namely, sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) and space vector modulation (SVPWM) methods. The incremental conductance algorithm is adapted as the MPPT algorithm. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed system is proved using MATLAB Simulink
