The Significance of Trainee and Training Factors in Enhancing Employees’ Creativity of Saudi Public Sector Workforce through mediating Abroad Training
Abstract
The training was adopted to improve the qualifications of the employees and later their perspective organizations. The concept of training is still under investigation and continual improvements; yet, it faces current and possible future challenges that need to be addressed. In this study, the challenge of the influence of the mediator factor of abroad training quality (AT) has been addressed. The method used in this study is the descriptive correlational cross-sectional survey approach. A questionnaire was prepared and distributed to employees who were involved in training carried out in UAE, Malaysia, and Turkey within the year of 2018. The questionnaire addresses the trainees’ factors of social skills (SS), motivation (MO), and intellectual ability (IA); training factors of content quality (CQ), delivery quality (DQ), and environment quality (EQ). In addition, AT was proposed as a mediator, and employees’ creativity (EC) was the target of the study. The net number of respondents was 384 employees with convenience and non-probability sampling techniques. Data were analyzed statistically using regression-based techniques, SPSS, and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results have shown that the highest and lowest mean and percentage level of the respondents were belonging to IA (4.167; 83.4%) and EC (3.319; 66.4%), respectively. All means were with either neutral or high response levels. The effect of trainees’ factors and training factors with and without the mediator TA was tested at the significance of 1% with t-statistics and found that TA had a significant role in improving EC when the highest t-values 3.139 vs 2.82 for trainees’ factors and corresponding values of 4.584 vs 3.752. The findings of this study have shown that including TA as a mediator resulted in better improvement for the employees. The study could be essentially one of the most important studies as it improves the structure of training abroad.
