CCTV Video Data Deduplication Method using Blockchain and Big Data Analysis

Abstract

Background/Objectives: Intelligent CCTV surveillance technology requires security and efficiency. In this paper, we propose a safe and efficient intelligent CCTV model based on blockchain and deduplication technology.
Methods/Statistical analysis: The proposed method in this paper guarantees the data integrity of CCTV video data based on the blockchain in the edge area and improves the efficiency of video data transmission through deduplication. In particular, sensitive personal information is stored only in the edge area, and the masked video data is transmitted to the cloud server, thereby protecting personal information.
Findings: Sensitive personal information is stored in the private blockchain in the edge area, and this information is not transmitted to the cloud, thereby preventing personal information exposure. And based on the deduplication technique, CCTV video data can be efficiently transmitted to the cloud server.
Improvements/Applications: Through the method proposed in this paper, it is possible to secure security and efficiency in intelligent CCTV surveillance environment. In the future, various studies on blockchain are needed.
