Advanced Garbage Management System Using the Internet of Things

Abstract

The idea behind this research is to attempt to minimize the problems which are raised due to excessive garbage collection in our localities and to help keep our surroundings clean. Recent developments in our cities have contributed a lot in increasing pollution and garbage which is giving rise to a lot of health-related problems in our society and to minimize those problems this idea will help by notifying the responsible authorities to keep the dust bins in our locality clean timely.

This proposed system will help in keeping the responsible people such as municipal corporations notified about the filing status of the dustbins of the locality and whenever any dustbin gets overloaded then a notification will be sent to the responsible person so that the garbage will be timely cleaned up.

The reason behind this research is to figure out the possibilities of utilization of the internet of things (IoT) in the field of garbage management and how helpful it can actually be in order to control and manage the garbage in our surroundings. This proposed system brings out a proper method of using IoT elements in such a way that can be proven effective for solving the issue of garbage management in the cities.
