Foreign Direct Investments – factor of influence on Brazil’s economic growth

Abstract

Abstract: Foreign Direct Investments are considered an important component of the economic growth of a country. Brazil is a huge country with a huge potential in attracting FDI and a huge potential to become one of the developed countries from the world. The main goal of this study is to identify how FDI flows to the Brazil’s economy affect the most important macroeconomics indicators. The methods used are: correlation analysis between FDI and the macroeconomic indicators selected, KMO and Bartlett’s Test, regression method and Econometric Modelling. As a result, I noticed that exist strong and positive correlation between FDI flows and the volume of exports and Human Development Index.
