Abstract

In recent years, the demand for strong security mechanism is considered high, because of the rapid development in information technology. Major transactions are done digitally, so the security threats are also very high. Biometric Authentication is a general mechanism to detect the authenticity of the users. Now a days, keystroke based biometric authentication is also considered as one of the significant methods to detect the impostors. Dynamic keystroke mechanism well distinguishes users by its typing rhythm. In continuous keystroke authentication model, the users typing pattern such as key down, key release, flight time and dwell time are considered as important factors. This work focuses on handling real time complexities to recognize genuine users, by examining continuous keystroke patterns as biometric authentication. The inconsistency and vagueness in distinguishing impostors from authenticated  users are archived in this work by developing Neutrosophic Inference Model. Each pattern of keystroke is converted to neutrosophic representation which represent the instances using three different membership terms truthiness, falsity and indeterminacy, where each factor is independent to each other. Thus, the proposed model precisely detects the impostors more accurately than the other traditional classification models. The simulation result proved the efficacy of the Neutrosophic Inference Model in identifying the authenticated users with continuous keystroke as biometric authentication.
