Abstract

Brain computer interface(BCI) helps us to manage setting up the corresponding pathways between brain and peripheral devices. Electroencephalogram(EEG) is a tool for measuring the brain activity which reflects the condition of the brain. EEG signals are generated by the electrical exercises of mind and are recorded on the scalp. This paper aims to provide an insight about the diverse approaches used in the stages of brain computer interface namely signal acquisition, signal pre-processing, feature extraction and classification. This paper also provides some of its prominent applications.
