Abstract

E-commerce primarily consists of the distribution, buying, selling, marketing, advertising and servicing of products or services with the help of internet. Internet and E-commerce are playing a significant role in our daily life. The main advantage, the user can check and compare the prices of the products and services by browse online shops in e-commerce. Nowadays e-commerce companies play a role in the world by showing positive growth in recent years.  The positive growth was driven rapidly by the technology adoption such as smartphones, tablets, accessing the internet through broadband, 3G and 4G services which have the greater impact on traditional retailers.  The objective of this paper is to identify and understand the impact of emerging trends in e-commerce on business development and initiatives taken by Indian government to e-commerce progress in India.
