Abstract

This work developed a general procedure for reliability analysis, and a new three-sigma scale model to measure the student's interest in answering the questionnaire questions. Whereas other statistical methods work to measure the stability and data quality. The main objectives are to focus on the importance of integrating the social media services in the education process, measuring the effect of social media to improve the educational process, and to develop a reliable method to validate the response of a  survey. The collection of information was carried out through the distribution of standardized questionnaires with ten questions. The questionnaire was developed at the  Computer Engineering Department, Al-Rafidain University College, Baghdad - IRAQ. 109 respondents took part in the survey. The results of the questionnaire showed a great improvement in the educational process when using and integrating social media services. Facebook was the most used by students and had the greatest impact on improving students' performance, and improving communication with the course instructors. Several experiments were implemented and tested to measure the effect of the proposed three-sigma scale model on discovering the answers of students who showed great interest in answering the questionnaire questions. The proposed scale model has been compared to the statistical methods used in the SPSS program. The results indicated the improvement of 1.5%  in the three-sigma used to discover non-reliable variables. General procedures for reliability analysis have been developed and tested. Specific recommendations have been developed to improve the educational process in E-learning systems.
