Review: Using of Sustainable Materials to Develop the Buildings to be Green

Abstract

The design of green buildings or sustainable buildings is promoted due to the increasing environmental concern worldwide. Using a green building could offer advantages, involving reduced maintenance costs by improving efficiency, consuming less water and energy, enhancing public and resident safety by enhancing indoor air quality, and decreasing environmental influences. Besides numerous other criteria, the use of environmentally sustainable construction materials-green materials-is one of the key criteria of a green project. There appears to be a lot of ambiguity at the moment when it comes to defining green materials and manufacturers will continue to identify their goods as green materials. Assessment requirement are important for classification of materials as green materials. This paper presents an evaluation for the current construction materials and the issues that related to those materials and what the solution as well as the alternative materials to produce green buildings.
