Computer Vision Based-Quality Evaluation of Color for Commercial Chilli-Paprika Trade

Abstract

Automation in agriculture increases quality and profitability of agri-stake holders. Post harvest assessment and analysis of dry chilly will lead to scientific way of valuation of Chilli-Paprika Trade. Currently in manual assessment and valuation the important visual feature of paprika-chilli is color, which often erratic, time-consuming, costly and biased. As chilli price or value is based on this manual chilli color judgment. Hence scientific way of color grading for quality evaluation of commercial chilli paprika trade is essential.In recent past for fruit grading researchers are using machine vision techniques. This paper uses different methods for color assessment to grade quality of chilli based on chilli color index.
