Detection of Human Fall on Furniture Using Optimization Algorithm

Abstract

Human fall detection is the most important for the detection of unfortunate falls in medical places, and the old people leaving alone. Different methods are introduced for the detection of human falls but cannot give appropriate results in difficult situations (or) environments. This paper uses three feature extraction methods called wavelet transform, histogram and GLCM methods. And also an algorithm called JAYA algorithm which improves the accuracy of the result is been used. JAYA is recently proposed optimization technique which is parameter less hence parameter tuning is not needed for it.. The results obtained are compared with the existingmethods. It has been shown that the JAYA algorithm outperforms than other fall detection techniques.
