Trigonometric Entropy on Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets

Abstract

Entropy is a tool to measure randomness or uncertainty in systems. Zadeh introduced fuzzy set and the entropy of a fuzzy event. Intuitionistic fuzzy (IF) sets is the generalization of fuzzy set (FS), introduced by Atanassov. In the present paper, a new information measure called as trigonometric intuitionistic fuzzy entropy measure has been proposed. Some interesting mathematical properties have been established which justifies the claim that proposed entropy is   intuitionisitic fuzzy(IF) entropy. Finally, to show the consistent nature of the proposed entropy by comparing it with the existing trigonometric entropies, numerical examples have been given for better understanding of the concept.
