Abstract

In this paper, we have studied the transmission spectra of wave inside the two periods P2 of the one-dimensional mirror symmetry fibonacci fractal photonic crystal (1D-MSFFPC) with combination of air, SiO2 and TiO2 materials. The air/SiO2, air/TiO2, SiO2/TiO2 is two initial sequences S0/S1. Initializing these sequences, P2 1D MSFFPC sequence 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 are considered and transmittance of these P2 1D MSFFPC is calculated using transfer matrix method (TMM). The transmission spectra of the air/TiO2 P2 1-D MSFFPC, air/SiO2 P2 1-D MSFFPC and SiO2/TiO2 P2 1-D MSFFPC sequence 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 have studied and compared the transmission peaks. The study of transmittance of the air/TiO2 S6-P2 1-D MSFFPC shows high Q-factor than other P2 1-D MSFFPC sequences. The high Q factor of mirror symmetry structure of air/TiO2 S6-P2 1-D MSFFPC may be used to develop high quality resonant micro-cavities laser and narrow band pass filter.
