Abstract

The main objective of the study is to review the emerging concept of “High-Performance Work-System” (HPWS) and gauge its impact on the effectiveness of overall corporate performances. The present research evaluates and successfully establishes the link between HPWS best practices and corporate performance by providing the evidence on the effects of these practices on the employee attitudes. This is viewed as a ‘Black Box’ by majority of the researchers. The study contributes empirically and guides management on the possible corrective measures which can be suitably adopted to tailor-fit the HPWS best practices to attain the status of a ‘World Class Organization’. The bivariate analysis between variables were performed with an objective to explore the relationship between two set of variables under consideration (i.e. independent & dependent). Initially, the skewness and kurtosis tests were performed on the survey data to examine the normality of the data. Basis this, the correlation tests were designed and executed. The nine hypotheses identified, were tested using “Hierarchal Multiple Linear Regression” (HMLR) analysis in an attempt to estimate the net effect of each bundles of the HPWS best practices on the employee attitudinal measures considered in the present research.
