IoT based Forest Fire Monitoring Approaches

Abstract

     Popularity of IoT technology has grown exponentially in the recent years due to its vast application areas in providing user friendly and instant solutions to most of the problems faced by the world. Among all these problems, forest fire is one of the most prominent problems that is faced by the world. The incidents of forest fires have increased in the recent years due to the continuous increase in Global warming. The incidents of forest fires need to be checked at a very early stage so that huge loss of flora and fauna can be prevented. Because of its characteristics, IoT provides a smart and prompt solution to this problem. This paper reviews and analyzes the current research and technologies used for forest fire monitoring system. It identifies the different researches done in this area by systematically summarizing and analyzing them.
