Determinants of Bank Health in Three Countries: Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia

Abstract

This paper has objective to investigate determinant of bank health in three Countries such as Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia.  Model Panel Data is used to analyze the objective the research for period of 2014 to 2018.  The results is Variable Ownership Majority, status ownership, Number of Directors Meeting, Gender of Director Woman and total asset were significantly affecting bank health in Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia as the countries for research.  Variable Ownership majority and Status ownership were significant affecting bank health in Indonesia.  Variable Ownership majority, Status ownership and market share and total Asset were significant affecting bank health in Malaysia. Size could be used as moderating variable but it is not always, which it does not apply to Indonesia’s bank. This Research found that independent Variable has significant affecting Bank, it will similar results when it use total asset as moderating variable.
