Abstract

Increasing data demands over the globe triggers the need of secure and reliable network infrastructure. In our work we mainly focused on the security of data. For understanding purpose we choose MANET network with AODV routing protocol. Blackhole attack is the type of network attack where a normal behavior node drops the data packets during transmission phase. Here we wish to eliminate these faulty or attacker nodes to steal our data. We purpose some steps to modify AODV header file in our simulation tool. After introducing attacker or malicious nodes we analyze different network parameters like delivery ratio of packets, loss ratio, average delay and total dropped packets. Outputs in varying scenario are discussed. For simulation help we take use of NS2 network simulator on Ubuntu OS.
