Abstract

Background. Worldwide Anemia may be a major problem among girls. The most susceptible population due to various reasons is adolescent girls.

Objectives: To assess the pre and post- test knowledge regarding iron deficiency anemia, to find the association between the selected demographic variables.

Methods: A one-group pretest–posttest design was used. Permission was obtained from the setting; after the students’ willingness and informed consent they were participated in the study. After collecting the demographic data, the pre-test was done by using structured questionnaire the same tool was used to see posttest level.

Result: Pretest knowledge score mean was (10.04) and post- test mean of knowledge score (15.8).

Conclusion: The STP is helpful to enhance the knowledge of students.
