Abstract

The article presents the results of studies of the influence of various conditions of frictional interaction in polymer-metal systems on the kinetics of electrification. To assess the influence of the physicochemical nature of the polymer and the conditions of frictional interaction on its electrification, PKA and HDPE coatings were used. It is shown that in the process of frictional interaction with a metal, a triboelectrode state arises in polymers, characterized by the value of the effective surface charge density and the spectrum of tribo-charge relaxation times. The values of relaxation times characterizing a relatively stabilized decay of the charge are correlated closely with the friction power.
