A Comparison of Finite Elemental Analysis of Customized Pedicle Screw Implant using Bulk Metallic Glass Composition

Abstract

Customized implant according to patient specific requirement can makes the rehabilitation time shorter .Specific implant can only be possible through Additive manufacturing process. Before optimizing the final design, Finite element method is used to to calculate the von Mises Stress induced. Pedicle screw made of bulk metallic glasses of various composition has been investigated in this paper .Pedicle Screw of 6 mm diameter has been used for investigation.
