Conversion and Transfer of Audio via USB using a PSoC5LP
Abstract
This paper presents the versatility of the programmable system known as PSoC (Programmable System on Chip) manufactured by Cypress Semiconductor since 2002. This system incorporates a microcontroller with features that allow it to be at the level of the most modern, as well as a configurable matrix for analog and digital functions, in addition to having the freedom to use any pin of the chip. The idea is to show the usefulness of the analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and the USB module for an audio application, demonstrating that data can be transferred in real-time using the USB bus without any configuration difficulties using a PSoC. Which, for any other embedded system or microcontroller can result in a rather complex and extensive task.
