Abstract

In Long Term Evolution network, users are provided with high data rates and they also expects good quality of service due to increasing demand and dependability on Online services. This network offers better energy efficiency as compared to 3G networks. Nevertheless, this network faces some open challenges such as traffic management, security, routing etc. Routing is the one of the main challenge, which is to be analyzed in the Long Term Evolution network. An Adhoc On-demand multipath distance vector routing protocol providesmultiple routes between the source and base station/eNodeB. Nevertheless, due to multiple transmission, a path among the multipath may lose its energy efficiency due to which an alternative optimal path is selected for data transmission. In this paper, for optimal path selection, Breeding Artificial Fish Swarm Algorithm is used in Adhoc On-demand multipath distance vector routing protocol. Based on execution after recreation, proposed Breeding Artificial Fish Swarm based routing algorithm,it is found that it outperforms existing methods in different parameters likethroughput, delay, packet delivery ratio etc.
