Automatic Machine Cultivation and Processing of Mustard Seed

Abstract

Agriculture is the predominant sector of Indian economy and India is the world’s largest producer of pulses, rice, wheat, spices and its products. Confronting the importance of innovation in the agricultural equipment we designed a prototype “Mustard Seed Processor (MSP) machine” to replace the conventional method in the process of mustard crop. This societal project integrate harvesting, grading and cleaning of mustard by using single machine. The seeds are made to pass through the sieve plate and collected at the bottom in the tray. The load cell is used to measure the quantity of the collected mustard seed. It has designed with some special features such as intimation of process completion to the farmers, obstacles detection through ultrasonic sensor and buzzer is connected to the circuit which is used an emergency alarm. This automated machine will reduce man power and it will be helpful for small and large scale farmers.
